Update

Yesterday was almost 60 degrees and that makes me very VERY happy. For those of you who live in mild climates I'm just not sure you can fully appreciate how absolutely thrilling and revitalizing the thought of Spring is, let alone its actual arrival. I love Winter in December, but not so much in November, January, February and March; however, it's worth it just so that I can love every minute of Spring after a long cold Winter.

Brennan is anxiously awaiting the snow melting on all his favorite golf courses. He finally went to physical therapy this morning for his shoulders and I'm hoping that that along with warmer weather will allow him normal usage of his shoulders. We love Brennan.

I had my big 20 week ultrasound today and I always get nervous beforehand. Everything appeared to be fine, and we held strong and didn't find out the baby's gender. I can tell you it's very cute though and we're getting so excited. I got to go hold my cousin's and aunt's (two separate people) new babies today and it made me so happy to know I get my very own in July. We love baby!

Anna has really caught a bad case of Spring Fever. She, more than any of my other kids, is so drawn to the outdoors, she wants to eat, do homework and EVERYTHING possible outside. I think she takes after her grandmas that way, she is happiest when she can be in nature and truly appreciates it's subtlest of beauties. Sometimes I feel sad that we can't live on a farm for her, she would thrive there. We love Anna.

Abigail has discovered a love for poetry. She is seriously considering being a poet when she grows up. She definitely has a way with words and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if she does ultimately go that route. Anna created a beautiful booklet the other day and told me she was going to have Abby fill it with poems. I thought it was so cute that Anna genuinely admired Abby's work and has every confidence in her little sister's abilities. We love Abby.

I took the boys to Home Depot yesterday and shortly after that Nate kept making really out of the blue references to Idaho. I couldn't figure out why he was talking about Idaho. Finally he said, "Wait, what's the name of that store we went to?" I then realized he was calling Home Depot, Idaho. It's sad that we bog people like Nate and Brennan down with things like names :) Each night Nate insists that I tell him an interesting animal fact when I tuck him into bed. I'm really pretty much tapped out so I'm afraid I'm going to have to do some research. I love how interested he is though so I guess it won't kill me to broaden my own knowledge. We love Natey.

You know how pretty much since Ben was born I've been talking about how much of a hurry he's in to grow up. Well, now when anyone asks him how old he is he insists he's 5. He will not budge on this, it is not up for discussion so don't even try. His new favorite thing is to ask me to sing the Bob the Builder song, i.e. "Bob, the builder, can we fix it?" to which he used to enthusiastically reply, "Yes, we can!" Now, however, he thinks it is the most hilarious thing in the world to answer, "NO, we can't" and watch my face feign shock and horror. He laughs soooooo hard that after a few rounds of this both of us are in tears and have stomach aches from how hard we laughed. We love Benjamin.

I don't know why, but Nate's Idaho thing is so funny to me. Nothing I love more than when kids confuse one thing with another thing.

Abby could be a great poet someday. Or a food critic. I can't wait to see what that girl becomes.

cute kids. I always love your updates, even though I live so close and we talk everyday I still learn things about them and I love it. that idaho thing is so cute and funny. Abby would make a great poet, thats so cute thats her aspiration. I love benny's "5" thing, that kid is unbelievable. I love that anna wants to be outside I kind of went through a phase like that when I was her age too, I think there is something irresistible about elements/weather when you are a dramatic intuitive. funny.

I love your updates. Nate is just like Bridger, they both love animal facts. We have given him several animal encyclopedias and he loves them. Whenever there is a reading day at the school, he always takes an animal encyclopedia (other kids take cute picture or story books). He even has a pocket size that he keeps in the car and likes to flip through.

Such cute things about your kids. You should post one of Abby's poems.

Poor Brennan and that shoulder. Are they sure he doesn't have a torn router(?) cuff. After months of pain I finally had my left shoulder surgically repaired. I really needed lots of physical therapy afterwards; but I was out of pain. Loved the stories about the kids. Anxious to hear what the sex of the baby is. Ha Ha

The the update, Ange. I'm so glad you are writing all this down. Reading your post gives me some spring fever, too, and makes me want to go putter around Bird City, maybe build a new hut or something...

I LOVE reading your updates. I am glad that everything looked great on the ultrasound, I admire those who don't find out and maybe someday I will find it in me to not find out. I am excited to find out what you are going to have! I am glad other people do it so I can get excited for them...Cute stories about your family. Love it.

Braden-- LOL Bird City! Wow, what a time warp.

These ARE cute, cute stories, Ange. What a gifted journalist you are.

"It's sad that we bog people like Nate and Brennan down with things like names" LOL!

I think Bennie's about right on when he insists he's 5!

What mammal is the only mammal that can't jump........? Elephants. There you go Natey! You kids are so cute, Andrea. I can't wait to hear more stories, and am so glad you are adding another one to the brood. I can't wait to meet him/her in July!

So funny about "No, we can't." Maybe that should be Obama's new theme, or "Bush, did it!"
