The other day the girls were talking about several people we know who are having babies. I was in the kitchen listening to their discussion which went something like this:
Abby: I hope I will be able to have kids and won't have problems having them.
Anna: Me too. I'm scared about having a handicapped baby. Mom, is that bad not to want a handicapped child?
Me: I don't think anyone wants to have their baby have disabilities, but I think most people who do feel very blessed to have that child.
Anna: What will I do if I have one?
Abby: You'll just deal with it, Anna.

wow - wisdom from abby and anna. i love it.
lolol. "you'll just deal with it anna."
Just tell them that Grandma Jo has always treated their uncle kook the same as all of her other kids, and always believed in him, and if the times comes, they would be able to do the same
i'm really surprised at their understanding and maturity. Really sweet.
I love these conversations with our daughters. I had a similar one with Haleigh this summer when she asked if we could go shopping to make her feel better...she just knew that buying something at Target was going to make her feel better. My sister in law was up the stairs laughing her head off. We had to discuss how we don't solve our emotional issues by shopping, eating, or anyother distructive habit. I told her to go for a run :)
This is basically a slightly altered version of "Wew dust playing a dame, Anna. It's not dat hahd."
Abby is good for Anna.
LOL Chris! And so true, Dave. What adorable little girls!
K, so I totally blog stalked your brother's blog, the brother that has the spoof of the Twilight series on it. I LOVED it! I was completely laughing like a loon. My YW convinced me that they were the greatest books ever and I had to read them, and speaking strictly from an entertainment stand point the first three were ok. But the fourth book was ridiculous. I have total issues with Bella as a role model. Anyway just wanted to share how amused I was. =) I also can't comment you bike riding post and wanted to tell you how beautiful your yard looks!
I LOVE this story!!! :)
Very "thoughtful and deep" thinking for little girls so young. From the mouths of babe's.
Tell them God gives the parents "extra" love to do as Abby said, deal with it.
Hey there Ang. I am glad you enlightened me so I could find your blog. I love your stories. Your kids are so sweet. By the way, you are a very good writer. I am fully entertained and loving your stories.
That is so cool, Ange. I love those girls and miss them so much! Please give them a hug for me.
This is a test.
What wisdom, and the truth!
