The other day Ben casually mentioned that everyone at school had said the “d” word but not to worry he didn’t say it. Having a hard time picturing his sweet little teachers leading the class in cussing during circle time I decided a few questions were in order. “What’s the “d” word, again?” “You know…stupid”. “Oh, and everyone at school said that?” “Yep.” “Even your teachers?” “No, just my friends, at recess.” A few little facts make a big difference.

One time, Brandon said the "d"word--only the one we REALLY don't want them to say. I started explaining to him that was a bad word and we shouldn't say it. "You never hear me say it, and you never hear Dad say it." "Uh-huh!! I hear Dad say it!" Hmmm... "well, you never hear me say it!"
